These are federal grounds, and I doubt if they will be nice to you if you get caught in those areas. Several of the roads are restricted and there are signs warning you, so don't even attempt to go where you're not welcome. There were several other cars doing the same thing so I guess they allow it as long as you don't try to trespass. After leaving Jim, I drove around the perimeter towards the Air National Guard gate and took photos over the 6 foot chain link fence. The dreary day was perfect for pictures and I got several I am impressed with as a professional. We were able to make a stop at the edge of the property and I was allowed to wander around a half dozen 747's and take photos of those. Keep in mind that most of the area is a no photo area - not his rules but requests from the various companies who actually own the planes stored here. ![]() We then got in his truck and drove past the security gates to view the planes from up close. He started out with a presentation in the office and gave me the history of the site and what the future plans are. ![]() I sent an email to site manager Jim Petty a few days before I visited the area and he was able to give me a tour of the boneyard.
